LWP NIPPERS WIN INTER-REGIONALS 2010
The LWP Nipper Inter-regional team 2010 recently won the Inter-regional trophy at the LSA Nipper Championships held at Kings Beach in PE.
The trophy was won by KZN Central last year after a 10 year dominance by LWP but is now safely tucked away in the LWP display cabinet once again! LWP won by 15 points beating KwaZulu-Natal Central 92 points to 77. Lifesaving Eastern Cape took 3rd spot with 68 points and KZN South scored 31 points.
The team was managed and coached by Diane Craemer of Big Bay SLC and was made up of 20 superstar nippers from across the province:

U/14 GIRLS: Jodi Cleworth (FH), Kirsten Flannagan (FH), Amy Hare (FH), Megan van der Horst (FH), Chelsea Moore (FH)

The LWP Senior Inter-regional team narrowly missed out on the trophy, losing out by 5.5 points to KwaZulu Natal Central (A). LWP (A) came in 2nd with 68.5 points with Lifesaving Eastern Cape taking 3rd with 39 points. LWP (B) took 5th place with 38 points. Some tactical decisions by coach, Andrew Crook, saw LWP (A) winning both the Mixed beach relay events and the 8-leg Mixed Taplin relay. Individual races were placed based on the finish positions of both competitors in that race and LWP (A) also won the Ladies board race, Ladies Beach sprints and Mens ski race.
